Obsessed with: Rita Ora

She's this summer's biggest thing in music, threatening to push Rihanna right out of the spotlight by being Jay-Z's new number one girl! But aside from her quirky music and catchy song lyrics (I know you're all still singing along to R.I.P!) it's her style that has the fashion world in a frenzy. I've already done one post on some of my favourite Rita Ora outfits, but when I came across this website, I knew I had to promote it on my blog!

www.ritaorafashion.tumblr.com is an amazing site featuring practically every outfit that Ms Ora is photographed in by the infamous paparazzi. But this isn't just a picture site. With a dedicated behind the scenes team, this tumblr page tells you what Rita is wearing, who she is wearing and, more importantly, where you can buy her exact wardrobe!

So whether your hunting for an Ora-inspired piece or you just want to take your style-stalking to the next level like I did, check out this amazing site! www.ritaorafashion.tumblr.com

The site spots Rita's designer buys...

And matches up Rita's complete outfits for you...

Even her music video accessories are accounted for!

The site tells you the who whats and wheres of Rita's wardrobe!

Rihanna for River Island!

Hot off the fashion press today is news that RnB star and trend setter Rihanna would be designing her very first clothing collection alongside high street retail giants River Island. The exciting news comes after images of Rihanna looking curvaceous and gorgeous in a skimpy bikini whilst holidaying on a yacht in Sardinia where released via Instagram and Twitter.

RiRi tweeted this picture of her cavorting in a skimpy bikini
and flaunting her curves whilst holidaying in Sardinia...

So will her collaboration with River Island see us all sporting tartan mini dresses and 'f**k you' boots a la XFactor? Or will it be full of distressed denim, slogan caps and knuckle dusters? Hmm...it's going to be an interesting one!

Speaking of the exciting collection she's hoping to launch in early Spring 2013, Rihanna says

"I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family run business also really appealed to me. I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special."

Always been a fan - Rihanna wears a
 River Island Rolling Stones tee...

River Island, known for adding an unusual edge to their high street collections (think studs, embellishment, fringing and distressed denim features to name but a few...) are just as excited as we are on the retail collaboration of the decade!

"Rihanna is a style icon, from street to chic she enjoys her fashion. As soon as we started to work together we knew this was a perfect fit. Rihanna will be designing the collection and we will be sharing our fashion experience with her to develop a range her fans will love." Said Chief Executive Ben Lewis.

I'm predicting oodles of denim, shed loads of grunge and a touch of Rihanna swag that we all love - I wonder if there will be any 'umbrellas' in her collection?

Steal Sevigny's Style with Warehouse...

Now that the high street summer sales all seem to be in full swing, July is a great time to start spotting some of the early new season pieces hitting stores ready for AW12. And with the weather still making it's mind up about whether it wants to rain or be gloriously sunny, we can start investing in some upcoming season pieces right now! So step away from the bright floral maxi dress at half price because, let's face it, when will you be getting the chance to wear it? And try some brand new, weather-safe options on for size instead!

My favourite high street brand Warehouse have had their Autumn collection drops coming in to stores fast and so why not feast your eyes on these wardrobe must-haves?! New trend for Warehouse 'Sofia' sees playful printed tailored pieces matched with jacquard city shorts, giving a whole new meaning to the term 'city ready'! With a major focus in the collection surrounding the staple Mac coat, you will be rain proof for now and winter ready come Autumn all thanks to Warehouse!

So why not make like Ms Sevigny and add a staple Mac to your wardrobe? A timeless piece that never goes out of style thanks to Burberry, but you don't have to pay mega bucks to get the look. Try this one from Warehouse, where fantastic quality material gives a tailored feel, set to smarten up any outfit and keep the rain at bay!

Tatty's Song of the Week.

Aside from fashion and retail music is one of my main passions in life! I've decided to start posting my 'song of the week' on my blog, so each week you can see what I'm listening to and loving! I will pre-warn you that my music taste is quiet sporadic, so one week it could be a pop song, then the next week a rock anthem and, thanks to my recent holiday to Ibiza, there may even be a few house tracks on here!

Hope you enjoy this week's track by ex X-Factor contestant Amelia Lily. I loved her on the accent - her punky attitude and her husky voice combined seemingly created a star in the making. Her debut single 'You Bring Me Joy' has been released this week. There isn't a video yet, but I managed to hunt this version down on YouTube.

Enjoy!

Yeaahh Boiii...

I can't get enough of all of the seriously cool Boy London products that seem to be creeping up everywhere at the moment! Whether its Rihanna hiding away from the paps in a BOY cap or the stunning Rita Ora clashing her eagle printed leggings with an embellished blazer, the product range seems to be a must-have for any individual with that sensational urban street style.

Head to toe in Boy London, RiRi's ahead of the trend...

Everyone's crushing on Rita Ora at the moment - check out
her Boy London tee!

A vision in white, Jessie J loves the monochrome palette...

Proving you can twist your Boy London tee by adding
smart tailoring...

With a recognisable eagle emblem that has been circling the underground fashion scene since the 1970's punk faze, Boy London went from being featured in a small-time boutique on the infamous Kings Road to an iconic label that represents London, freedom and pure anarchy!

An emphasis is placed on key silhouettes and shapes amongst a monochromatic colour palette, allowing the graphic BOY LONDON lettering to take centre stage. Heavily influenced by punk rock, the brand began to appeal to a broader subject range with celebs such as Madonna and Boy George getting in on the revolutionary label's fashion antics back in the day!

Ibiza Style: Tie Dye...

Following on from yesterdays Ibiza theme, another hot trend spotted on the sandy shores was 'tie dye'. Think late 60's early 70's hippy style influences where psychedelic art, ikat patterns and batik prints took centre stage. Bring the infamous dye forward 40 years into the 20th Century and you get the coolest girls chilling out in flowing maxi dresses, ripped up tees and ombre silk shirts around the sunset strip in Ibiza! Here are a few pieces to get you into the hippy mood ready for your holiday!
